Moving Upside Down!
The gateway to the extreme

Moving Up The Pole
Getting creative with your new found strength
We can now experiment with 4-week routine classes where we put it all together, and slowly start adding new moves into our routines.
At Rapture Arts we make a real effort to ensure that moves are achievable, we progress in a gradual manner, each week in our 6-week course, adding more moves, and going over previous ones. Allowing you to achieve and grow at the same time as gaining more strength. We use varying techniques to gain strength as you go; we change the moves as you progress to utilize different muscles and prepare for what is to come.
We start our Pole Journey sliding down the pole- as lifting yourself up is hard! Our focus in level 1 is on spins and moves lower down and around the pole. This gets you accustomed to the pole, how your body relates to and moves around the pole. This also gets you understanding grip, gaining grip strength and shoulder stability. It is important to start with the spins as they help you to gain the strength to eventually move up, and then upside down on the pole (but we don’t do this in Level 1!!)
Even if you have done circus aerials, dance or gymnastics before you will still learn something new starting at Level 1. There is no need to rush ahead, we can adjust focus depending on how quickly you get the moves to suit your unique progression (and that's even for those who have no experience!) There is no need to worry about age, gender, shape, size, strength, flexibility and every other little excuse that pops in your mind. Your journey is uniquely you and we can tailor it to suit. Please contact us to book a spot :)
Now we have started to gain grip strength and shoulder stability, we understand how our body works with the pole, we move up the pole, at the same gradual pace as in Level 1- going through a few new moves, as well as going over old moves in each of the 6 weeks. As we move up the pole, it is almost a surprise to think back and realize how much your strength as increased. Now we have a new learning curve about how we grip and move in the air with a whole new array of tricks to help us gain strength and confidence on (or up) the pole.
Pre Requisite- Level 1 Pole Fitness, or prior experience with Spins and Pole Fitness to ensure shoulder stability.

We are here, it is time to go upside down! This is a super exciting part of our journey... We have tried putting our head in the clouds, now let’s turn it all around. Level 3 is here and our 6-week course brings our focus to inversions, moving around the pole, different grips, positions and tricks upside down!
Pre Requisite- Level 1 and 2 Pole Fitness, or prior experience with Spins, climbs and sits with foundation strength for inverts.

In this block of 6 classes, it is time to play with some more complex tricks and grips. We are now working with our new-found upper body and core strength to achieve some more intricate moves- those moves you dream about are now within your grasp. In this level, you will be moving from previous moves, in to new moves, creating that extra depth and control in your pole journey.
Pre Requisite- The ability to invert comfortably and be able to move hand positions whilst inverted. If you have completed Level 4 and aren't quite sure if you are ready for Level 5, we do have a Level 4.5 which is a bit of a step back in intensity and full of new and unique tricks.

You're here, all those goal moves that people work on, it is our turn, trying those twisty, flexy or gravity defying moves! This 6-week course has each week with a slightly different theme, the idea is to introduce you to a range of different styles of movement. As well as to ensure that our body is appropriately warmed up for what we are doing in class each week! From here your gateway is open to the world of pole and all its wonders. You can find and follow your own unique style!
Once this level is complete you can move onto our routine classes. Routines start off easier and gradually get harder, and once your fitness is ready for new moves, we start to add more new moves in too!
Pre Requisite- The ability to comfortably invert, and move to re position body.
Please contact us to book a spot.
